Costco urgently recalls this chicken because it contains sharp plastic

According to the latest news from the USDA:Foster Farms is recalling nearly 15 pounds of fully cooked frozen chicken breasts sold at Costco.Because the package may contain hard plastic chips, may be dangerous if eaten.

 

 

The Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said in a statement Saturday that 80-ounce bags of breaded chicken breast steaks were recalled because they may contain "hard, clear plastic fragments."

 

  • The shelf life of this batch of products ends on "08/11/23",
  • The back of the package has the enterprise number "P-33901" and the batch number "3*2223**".
  • There is also the number "7527899724" under the barcode.
 

FSIS announced that the recalled products have been shipped to multiple locations.If you are in the following four states, do not buy this product,include:Arizona, California, Colorado, Utah and Washington

 

 

The recall is classified as"Class I - Moderate to High Risk", defined as "there is a reasonable possibility that the use of this product will result in serious, adverse health consequences or death".FSIS said that while there have been no reports of injuries, "These tough plastic fragments can be sharp and have the potential to cause injury."The agency urges consumers to check their refrigerators for recalled products that should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase.
