Mother calls police for assaulting daughter

On January 2023, 1, the San Jose police received a call from local residents,Allegations that minors were sexually assaulted.The victim's mother, who made the report, told officers she found inappropriate messages from her daughter's former teacher on her phone.

Police determined that the suspect, Te Bin Jung, sexually assaulted a minor. Jung currently works as an English teacher at Yerba Buena High School.The sexual assault occurred at Silver Creek High School where he worked before, and the victim was a student of the school.

On January 2023, 1, the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC)/Child Exploitation Task Force (CED) took charge of the investigation and obtained a warrant for the arrest of the suspect, Jung.The suspect was located and arrested at his San Jose residence.He was subsequently sent to the Santa Clara County General Jail on one count of sexually assaulting a minor.

But the suspect is currently free under the Supervised Self-Guilt Release Program (SORP).

Jung was suspended and placed on unpaid leave after school leaders learned of the allegations, East Side Union High School District superintendent Glenn Vander Zee said in a statement.
