The only Lanzhou ramen in Los Angeles-Malan Ramen

After staying in Los Angeles for a few years, I have never eaten the hot Lanzhou ramen again. This time, I rushed to the only Malan ramen shop in Los Angeles with a few professional "noodle tyrants". I just wanted to try the domestic good again. taste. Honestly, when we went there was a lot of stress, and I was afraid that the taste would not be authentic and ran a trip to Hacienda Heights. But when they left, several friends patted their stomachs and raised their thumbs with satisfaction.

This Malan Ramen has been in business for 12 years and can be said to be an old shop. The store has a domestic taste, and the store is over 2200 feet, clean and spacious.

The chef of this shop is very skilled and can pull out 11 different kinds of noodles, but generally only 7 kinds of the most popular are sold in the shop (as shown in the picture below), and the most popular ones are the thin noodles and the second thin noodles on the left. The buckwheat rib noodles (triangular noodles) in the middle and the wide noodles on the right. After listening to the introduction of different ramen, several big "noodle tyrants" rushed to order his family's signature noodle - "Majia Beef Noodles in Clear Soup".Personally, I prefer thin noodles, and my friend from Northeast China ordered the more chewy two noodles.Lanzhou ramen pays attention to one clear, two white, three red, four green and five yellow, that is to say: one soup should be clear, two radishes should be white, three chili oil should be red, four garlic sprouts and coriander should be green, and five noodles should be yellow. Some of my friends have been to Lanzhou to eat authentic Ma Zilu beef noodles, and I am looking forward to comparing it with this one in Los Angeles.Soon the beef noodles came up (the picture below shows two thin noodles).

Sure enough, every standard of ramen was met, and I took a sip of the soup... "It's so delicious!" The noodle tyrants sighed.

"This is the best noodle I have eaten in Los Angeles!"

"This restaurant is definitely not worse than Ma Zilu in Lanzhou, it has more meat!"

"The soup base is so rich!"

Listening to the introduction, his soup base is boiled with beef bones, and each time it is stewed, the radishes are burned separately and then put into the soup. All the ingredients are imported domestically, and they do not contain MSG. It tastes very rich in soup level and doesn't have too much flavoring. It is highly recommended!

Lanzhou ramen is very particular about the spicy sauce. You need to fry various spices in oil, then skim off the spices and add peppers. This spicy sauce is full of aroma, but not as spicy as Sichuan and Hunan. But for such a good soup, you must drink a few mouthfuls to add spicy, isn't it? Add spicy sauce, still a word, delicious!

In addition to the signature noodles, we also ordered Malan Crystal Stuffed Leather (left).Stuffed skin is very different from Southern Liangpi. Although it is not transparent, it is still chewy. It is served with sesame sauce and hot sauce. It is definitely a very good dish to go with. Of course, we did not drink alcohol... Tiger dishes (right) have never eaten, Ben I thought it was a northwestern wild vegetable. It turned out to be cold garlic cucumber and coriander. The taste is very refreshing. We found that tiger dishes and stuffed skins can match perfectly and mix together, haha!

There are still many side dishes to try. PS: The skin is only available on Friday and Saturday.

The reviews on Yelp highly recommend his scallion pancakes, but the facts prove once again that the old flavors of the reviews are really far from us: this scallion pancake is really hearty, the scallion flavor is not strong, and the cake is not crispy. Can't eat levels.

I was also very surprised to see that there was a large plate of chicken in his house-delicious sauce and vigorous homemade noodles, but the Xinjiang plate of chicken attracted me most! It's a pity that this big plate of chicken is full of "Hanwei", basically it is braised chicken with noodles. The taste is not bad, but it is very different from imagination, no surprises. Considering the price of 11 knives, the amount is still enough for two people to eat, and the noodles are wide noodles visually.
