New York | This Halloween lets ninjas entertain you

For those editors who have n’t played trick-or-treat since they were 18 years old, and have truly had Halloween for the first time, this day at the end of October must be celebrated to make up for the lack of childhood. This year will be the first time to spend Halloween on the big twist. The editor is excited to start planning a month in advance – parades, haunted houses, Halloween movies, masquerade parties are all planned, of course, as food must also have something new on Halloween. Well – so I did everything I could to find out what might be the only ninja-themed restaurant in America! Fellow officials, are you ready for the ninja to entertain you this Halloween?

Ninja New YorkLocated in the TriBeCa area with many tall restaurants in Manhattan. When it opened in 2006, the Japanese boss was ambitious to turn it into a high-end Japanese restaurant focused on Kaiseki. Unfortunately, the 9-course Prix Fixe menu was not accepted by many New Yorkers at the time because of its large weight, so the boss got a clever idea and added the ninja element to the restaurant.

Passing byNinja New YorkAt Hudson Street's store, I can't find this restaurant without looking closely-the store is dark, and the signboard is also dark. If there were not a few people lined up at the door, I guess I turned around three times to find it. get. Entering the door is an elevator hidden in a rockery. The waiter pointed at the door and took the elevator down and underground. As a result, the elevator was scared by the ninja ambush on the side and he was afraid to walk.

After walking around several dark promenades, wooden bridges (seems like a river?), After being scared by the ninja several times, he finally came to the dining area. The decoration of the restaurant is an ancient Japanese style, like a Japanese-style courtyard, with mountains, water and plants, and each seat is separated by a wooden door. I do n’t know much about Japanese history, and I do n’t know which generation it came from, but Sitting inside is like sitting in the scene of a Japanese samurai movie.

Today, Xiaobian and friends entertained a female ninja. Just listening to the two beeps and two wine lists flew to the table-to be here to receive a little bit of ninja skills training before working as a host. We orderedsignature cocktail – ninja star martini. Because the licorice juice is added, the taste is a bit sweet. The taste of licorice slightly overwhelms the taste of wine. For the first time, I drink a black cocktail.

Ninja Star Martini comes with a Ninja Star

The restaurant decoration is very Japanese, but the menu is a fusion of Japanese and Western styles. In fact, the Japanese food is not particularly on the menu. Representatives with ninja dart marks on the menu serve ninjas when they serve.

For the appetizer, we orderedHot Artichoke Dip ($ 14) andSalmon Heaven ($ 16). With Artichoke Dip's ignited performance, it didn't surprise anyone, and the taste of the dish was just as disappointing as the performance. Instead, it was Salmon Heaven, and putting salmon sushi on a shiny plate made people feel small and romantic. There are three different ways to make salmon, sashimi, braised and pickled with eel sauce, each with a different taste and taste. My favorite is eel sauce. Avocado and mango are quietly added to the sushi. Although the taste is somewhat covered by the sauce, a bite of texture and taste in the mouth is still very good.

Salmon Heaven

We want the main courseThe Mask ($ 27) Sushi platter. When serving, Xiaobian and friends were both surprised by the "wow" on the plate. The whole plate of sushi is surrounded by the mist from the dry ice, and there is a faint blue light under the mask. With the dark lights in the restaurant, there is an illusion of whether to come to eat or watch the show. After the female ninja puts down the dish, she puts on a mask, poses the ninja posture, and interacts with us to take pictures, which also maximizes the customer experience. But when it comes to sushi, it's not so amazing. The ingredients and sales are both sloppy, maybe the chef put too much thought on picking the mask ...

The Mask

Just after we ate and immersed in the excitement of interacting with the ninja, the biggest surprise in the audience appeared-the restaurant actually had professional magicians to perform at each seat! The magician's humorous and witty skills are in place again, although performing under the eyes is also so fast that people can't see any flaws. If you really like their performance, you can invite these magicians to show their hands at their party.

If you are looking for a delicious Japanese restaurant,Ninja New YorkYou may be disappointed. If you want to surprise your friends and your Halloween dinner, don't miss it. After all, the delicious Japanese food in New York is everywhere, but it is the only one that eats, plays, and shows.
