San Diego ski tour Solana Beach half-day tour

A private letter from a classmate said that all the major attractions in San Diego have been visited and asked if they could recommend some good places for in-depth travel. Let me share some of my experience. Let me introduce you to the small town of Solana Beach north of San Diego. You can play for more than half a day. Suitable for those who often come to San Diego and want some freshness.

About Solana Beach

sd daily tour2

Solana Beach is a coastal city north of San Diego, approximately 25 minutes from downtown San Diego. The exit on the No. 5 highway is through Loma Santa Fe directly to the center of the town or Via De La Valle to the south. There is an Amtrack train station, so if you are taking a train, you can also get off here. Commercial areas and beaches are relatively concentrated, and the population density is small, so parking is convenient and walking is possible. Solana Beach feels very laid back. You can escape the hustle and bustle of the metropolis without the awkwardness of tourists.

(Various handicrafts in Leaping Lotus)

Cedros Ave is a major street in Solana Beach. This section between LomaSanta Fe and Via De La Valle has more than 80 shops: furniture, interior decoration, handicrafts, art galleries, nurseries, and a lot of shops. The larger one is Leaping Lotus. Many local artists put their works here for consignment, which is a very special place, which is appealing to young artists. You can stroll around this street for 1-2 hours. Take exit 5 of Loma Santa Fe, go west, then turn left at Cedros Ave. The car can be parked by the road. GPS Address: 240 S Cedros Ave, Solana Beach, CA 92075

Other business districts

Take exit 5 of Loma Santa Fe, go west, turn right at Hwy101, you will also see a series of shops and restaurants on your left. The most characteristic is the flower garden Solana Succulents, like a secret garden. The facade is small, but the inside is large and sells a variety of succulents. There is also a local favorite Pizza Port on the street. Pizza and beer are great! On the other side of Hwy101 is a walking path decorated with flowers and plants along the road. It can be seen that the local government attaches great importance to the appearance of the city. The footbridge of the pedestrian bridge over here is the track of the Amtrack train. You can see the train coming across the bridge.

Beach

Solana Beach has four beaches and about 1.7 miles of coastline. From north to south there are Tide Beach, Fletcher Cove, Seascape Beach and Del Mar Shores. The centrally located Fletcher Cove, the closest to Amtrack train station, is best to find. It is a great place to watch the sunset! There is a playground for children next to the beach. The other three beaches can only be reached by stairs in residential areas, which are relatively hidden and difficult to find. However, if you like to take photos, the winding staircase leading from the cliff to the beach is very interesting to take attractions. As for the beach is not beautiful, sell a trick here, everyone feel for yourself! The entrance address is attached here for your convenience.

Final Thoughts

I personally come here for breakfast in the morning, then walk around the beach to blow the sea breeze, then go to Cedros Ave window shopping. If you are hungry, go to Pizza Port or Sunday Farmer's Market to find food. In the evening, you can watch a sunset by the sea before walking. Talk to your companions, look at the blue sky, and spend a good part of the weekend with a good mood. In the evening, head to DelMar south of Solana Beach or go back to San Diego for dinner.
