Another hand-drawn strike | Dating at the only private lighthouse in the United States is not romantic enough ~

Do you want to celebrate with the other half on the coming Valentine's Day? Would you like to arrange a romantic confession for a single person? If the other party is a snack, a romantic restaurant should be a good choice for Valentine's Day, right? Joyce, a member of the food squad, made a private visit to Forbes Island, a romantic restaurant located at Fisherman's Wharf just the past Christmas. Maybe this will be your Valentine's choice. Come and see this special restaurant with me now!

If you have ever seen those lovely sea lions at Pier 39 in Fisherman's Wharf, maybe you will see a white lighthouse not far from the sea lions, this is the restaurant we visited this time-Forbes Island.

In 1975, a houseboat architect named Forbes Thor Kiddoo began designing his own house in the small town of Sausalito. In December 1980, the boathouse was finally completed on the San Francisco coast, and its unique and luxurious design caused a lot of media reports around the world. Today, this boathouse has become one of the most special restaurants in Fisherman's Wharf, which is Forbes Island.

On Christmas Eve, my boyfriend and I arrived at Pier 39 half an hour before the appointment. Originally thought that time was very plentiful, but this restaurant is to be passed by a designated boat, and this boarding place is not easy to find. In the end, it took us more than twenty minutes to return to Pier 39 to find the boarded Dock "I". In fact, this boarding point is next to the sea lions, but the instructions are not obvious.

After waiting for about 5 minutes at Dock "I", the captain drove to pick us up! There is only one boat, and it will run back and forth between the restaurant and the boarding point. If you do not see the boat at the boarding point, please wait patiently.

When the boat reaches the lighthouse, the captain will lead everyone to the dining place. Forbes Island is mainly divided into two dining spots: the first is a water room suitable for a multi-party party. The room can enjoy the famous views of the Bay Area such as Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge. Another dining spot is the subsea Dinning Room during our private visit, which is also the main dining spot of Forbes Island. The lighthouse is not a meal. Joyce will take everyone to see the lighthouse after dinner.

The captain took us to the underwater restaurant, and the waiter led us to the booked table. The underwater restaurant is very romantic and the lighting is soft. It feels very romantic right after entering the restaurant. What I like most is the oil paintings on the wall related to the "sea".

Forbes Island even every window is carefully selected, the patterns on the glazed glass are different. While waiting to be served, talk to your companions, admire the layout here, and unknowingly put down your mobile phone that you never leave.

There are not many dishes here, there are only three or two dishes for each category, but the price of 75 yuan per person includes salads, appetizers, main dishes, desserts, and such an environment is quite reasonable. Here is our menu for the night and a little personal thought:

Serving food is not fast. It takes more than an hour to eat, and the portion is a bit too much for girls. We did n’t order wine. In addition to the $ 75 per person, there was a SF Mandate Fee of more than $ 6. But from the food itself, this price may be available elsewhere, but coupled with this environment, I think Forbes Island is a very cost-effective choice. After dinner, let's go to the lighthouse to see what happens!

The lighthouse is 40 feet highThe only private lighthouse in the United States. Those who like to take pictures must not miss it. The stairs of the lighthouse are quite nice. The night view of Fisherman's Wharf can also be seen very clearly here.

When you are full and have watched enough, the captain will pick you up and return to shore. When you disembark, don't forget to give the cute captain some tips!

I do n’t know if the diners would like to have a romantic dinner after reading this private interview? If so, remember to make an appointment in advance. Because Forbes Island has a limited number of people per day, remember to make an appointment at least two weeks in advance. If it is a special holiday, it is best to make an appointment one month or more in advance!

Team Tips:The sea breeze at Fisherman's Wharf is relatively strong at night, and it is still quite cold. Remember to bring a thicker coat to avoid cold!
